BHARADI DEVI

At Bharadi Devi temple a fair is organised every February when two hundred thousand people visit the temple during the fair. This is the Jaagrut devasthan situated at Anganewadi, 10 km from Malvan. The Bhradi devi temple is in the village of Masure. Anganewadi is the small hamlet of Masure village. The Bharadi devi is famous for her wish-fulfilling(Navas) power. Her devotees express their wishes (Navas) before her and once the wish is fulfilled they come again for a Darshan (visit) to express their gratitude.







 

SHRI RAJESHWAR MANDIR

Old legend says that a decent queen staying in the fort nearby was an ardent devotee of Lord Rajeshwara. She use to come to the temple in midnight to worship as part of some vrata. Once she saw her husband – the king following her with a sword. she went to the temple and offered her worship. She prayed the God to take her inside the Shivlinga as there was no meaning in living further as her husband has suspected her. So the shiva linga opened and accomodated the queen in it. only her hair and a part of the clothing ……proof of the legend. Shivdarshan



 

KUNKESHWAR TEMPLE

This beautiful temple near beach has alluring architecture with reminiscent of South Indian style of temple architecture. Yadav Kings built this temple in 1100 A. D. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj who rejuvenated this temple many times was a frequent visitor to this temple. This temple is also famous as Kashi of South Konkan. Every year a huge celebration takes place on the occasion of Mahashivratri, which keeps religious beliefs in constant sight of the multitudes.


 

JAI GANESH TEMPLE

This Ganesh temple was built by Shri Jayant Salgaonkar, a well known fortune teller and maker of “Kal Nirnay” calendar. It is a very beautiful temple with welcoming two elephant images, beautiful carvings, marble designs and a golden idol of Ganesh with Riddhi Siddhi.
